Hi, I’m Omar Saad, an explorer at heart and an award-winning photographer with a deep passion for capturing the untamed beauty of the natural world—both above and beneath the surface. My photography journey takes me to remote, challenging places—soaring mountains, icy wildernesses, dense forests, and vibrant underwater realms—all to share the wonders of worlds rarely seen.

For me, photography isn’t just about pressing a shutter; it’s a connection to the wild, a way of feeling the soul of a scene before translating it into an image. I chase the magic of light, the rhythm of nature, and the raw emotion of the untamed, allowing each photograph to tell its own story.

I’m lucky to call Vancouver, Canada, my home. Living in British Columbia means being surrounded by some of the world’s most awe-inspiring landscapes—towering mountain peaks, lush rainforests, majestic fjords, and crystal-clear rivers. It’s a place where inspiration is endless.

I was born in Egypt, a land where the roots of art run deep. Egyptians were among the earliest storytellers, using nails and hammers on walls instead of cameras and photo paper. That spirit of boundless creativity flows through me.

My first steps into photography began with a Zenit EM—a 1984 all-manual SLR gifted by my mom. That simple camera taught me the fundamentals and ignited a lifelong passion for capturing the world through my lens. Thank you, Zenit, and thank you, Mom, for sparking the dream that turned into my life’s work.
